I know!! I went MIA again but with good reasons. June was the craziest month I've had so far this year but I made it through. Thank God! Juggling work, tailoring classes and house chores isn't the easiest combination in the least bit so blogging had to take the backseat for a short while. Pardon my absence pleaseee!


A very Happy July to you my darlings! 2017 is gradually coming to an end and I'm so grateful for growth and progress. Thanks to everyone who clicks a link to my blog every now and then. I really appreciate your support and encouragement.

Today, I'm introducing the first dress I made for myself. This would have come earlier if I had a sewing machine at home but notwithstanding, I made it. The joy I felt seeing my completed work cannot be described. I believe any creative person out there can relate.




So far, tailoring has proved to be more interesting than I had imagined and I'm glad I ventured into it. I plan on getting a sewing machine this month so get ready to see more creations from me. Yaaaaaaay!!! *shooting imaginary fireworks* Believe me when I say I did the running man yesterday morning while carrying out my chores. I was so excited and had this sense of fulfillment that made me a bit proud of myself.



My blog is ONE YEAR OLD! I remember my very first post here and how I sat quietly in my dad's office that fine August afternoon, drafting my second and third post.lol. It's been 55 posts since then and I must say I'm proud of the little work and effort I've put into running this space I share with you, my awesome readers.

This post is just to show my appreciation to every single person who has clicked and shared a link to my blog. Even though I've been dealing with inconsistency for a little while now, you still stick around. Thank you for all the encouragement and support that you give me via the comments section and even in person. THANK YOU!!!

There's still a lot to be done and I'm working on transforming this space to the taste of my imagination. To those who want to venture into blogging, two things. Don't blog if your first aim is to make money off it. Do it because you have a passion to share your life story with others out there. The monetary gains would come in later on with much effort and hard-work. Don't be all about the page views and comments. It sure is exciting to see responses to your post but then, comments or not, the message has been passed across.

I never get tired of saying thank you for real though, so THANK YOU once more. Keep sticking with Evita In Progress as she evolves and unfolds. It can only get better.
