Colour Me Purple.

6:11:00 am

Hey awesome people! A happy September to you!!! Wait, SeptEMBER?! Woooot!!! I'm so excited for a lot of reasons but most importantly, I'm grateful for life. It has definitely been God all the way. And Christmas is coming too! Lol. I can never outgrow the bubbly essence of Christmas. Christmas is simply divine. So how are you doing?? Hope your week is going as planned.

Do you see what I see? Hmmm...This is my first style post! Hehehe!!! If you have been following my blog for a while now, you should have noticed that I've been wanting to start my style segment. But because of the lack of a digital camera, I've been putting the idea off. Then I remember something I read sometime ago. You really don't need to have it all before you start...Just make the best use of the little you have and build on it. And that's exactly what I'm doing today.

If I don't act goofy, who will?

If you follow me on Snapchat (evee_evita), you must have noticed that purple is my favourite colour. Purple to me is the perfect bridge between masculinity and femininity. It's a colour of balance. Purple is welcoming. Purple is simply PURPLE! Lol.

Now let's dive in, shall we? My mum went shopping while I was away at work and on my way back home, she called and said she got some "things" for me. In my head I was like, "Hmmm...what has she gone to buy ooo"  Nevertheless, I was happy and super eager to see what she got coz my mum knows what I like, she digs my style and I trust her to go shopping for me.

I got home and behold! I saw 3 beautiful skirts on my bed and I started doing my happy dance. Who doesn't love new clothes, especially when they're free?!

Without wasting time, I decided to wear one of the skirts to work and I went for the one with traces of purple in it and another thing, it has pockets!!! Win Win!

So after work yesterday, a colleague helped to take me some pictures with my phone and as I was scrolling through, the thought of making a blog post using them came to mind and voila!

I edited the pictures with the help of VSCO Cam. I downloaded the app about 2 months ago but I didn't have the time to familiarize myself with it. Hope the editing isn't so bad for a first try though?

So, I paired the skirt with a purple top to give more depth to the traces of purple on the skirt. I'm not a fan of high heeled shoes(although I'm trying these days), I decided to go with a pair of cream flats, studded with little shiny "gold" stones to match my tiny waist belt, also studded with shiny "gold" hearts.

That handbag is my everyday bag so it virtually matches any outfit I put on. I was in such a good mood yesterday morning so I decided to use my purple hairband just to give me that girly look which I love.

I hope you enjoyed this post as much as I did writing it. I would love to read your thoughts in the comment section below. And don't forget to follow me on Facebook and Instagram

Have a fab Thursday.

xo, Evita.

Your colleague did a very nice work with the shots "he" took. But I guess the shots came out well more because you rock... *SmileS* Don't let not having a camera stop you from continuing your style segment, I am already loving it seeef. See the magic your phone camera is already creating.

So, I can't wait to see how you will rock the other Skirts you mum gave you...lol
